Flexible Freedom: LWDI Graduate Requirement Options

We are frequently asked if applicants must choose one of our graduate school partners in order to be admitted to LWDI. When the new requirements for graduate education began January 1, 2024, Lagniappe wanted to give its interns the biggest bang for their time and money! We sought and received accreditation to offer three options for our program:

  • options for applicants who already have a graduate degree
  • options for applicants who want to pursue degrees with one of our partners
  • options for applicants who want to pursue their own course of study

And since we know that grad school is HARD, we added a part time option to allow our interns to meet all the demands without too much stress.

Interns can choose 9 or 14 months to complete their supervised practice hours while they pursue graduate school and interns who already have a grad degree AND suitable full time work experience can be done even faster with our Prior Approved Learning (PAL) option. Applicants returning to school to follow their dream of being an RD after taking time to work can also apply for PAL.

Check out our brochure then give us a shout to choose which option works best for you!
